If you listen to the show, you’ll see that unfortunately, for now, the device only tags automatically JPGs and still has no support for RAW files. So, your CR2 files won’t be tagged.
In my review of the device (http://www.tzplanet.com/words/atp-photofinder-mini-reinventing-geotagging-product-review/176) you can see 3 options that I’ve found while testing to tag RAW files, but all require a computer. The good thing about this is that the device records up to a few thousand hours of location data, so you’ll have all the data you need when you get back home.
